Old Bavarian Dunkles Weissbier
Specifics
General Information
Method: Extract

Was going to do a partial mash but homebrew shop didn't have any wheat malt when I went to pick up ingredients.  I also added the extra half ounce of Perle at the end for aroma because I had a 2 ounce packet and I didn't want to have any left overs.

This is the beer I kegged 5 gallons of at the Beer Barons Brew-U Intermediate Homebrew Class on 4/27/2008.  http://www.beerbarons.org/Brew-U/brewing201.html.  The remaining 5 gallons was bottled two weeks later.

Comments

Aroma - Phenols and Esters up front but finishes with banana.  Low hop.

Taste & Mouthfeel - Slight sweetness up front transitions to banana and clove.  Low bitterness, good carbonation, medium body, and no lingering finish.
